The criteria of eligibility for taking admission in engineering courses vary from institute to institute. However, one of the basic conditions is that students must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects.
Some popular engineering exams in India: JEE Main / Advanced, MHT CET, UPCET (UPSEE), BCECE, AP EAMCET, TS EAMCET, BITSAT, KEAM, SRMJEEE, MET, SAEEE, WBJEE, LPU NEST and more.
Engineering programs in India are offered at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate, and Ph.D. levels:
Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
Completed BE/BTech with a valid GATE score is required for ME/MTech programs.
Passed SSLC / Class 10 / equivalent with at least 45% in Science and Maths.
Minimum 55% marks or 5.5 CPI in BTech/MTech or equivalent in appropriate branches.
BTech is a four-year professional engineering program spread over eight semesters. Bachelor of Technology is the full form of B.Tech, a highly preferred undergraduate course in India and a gateway to the field of engineering. B.Tech graduates have strong careers as Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Software Engineers, consultants, managers and researchers.
